Situated in the cradle of Mauritian culture and cultivation, Le Chamarel is the signature restaurant on the island for refined Creole cuisine. A Rogers Hospitality experience, our restaurant offers a premium dining experience for both Mauritian foodies and tourists.

Our friendly personal service is delivered by a dedicated staff of some 40 people, most of whom have been serving our guests for decades. Local and tourists alike will enjoy some amazing Creole cuisine with a backdrop of enthralling views in our restaurant located in a small idyllic village, surrounded by lush green pastures and sugarcane, pineapple, coffee and palm plantations.

Set high amidst a wooded plateau, Chamarel is a place where summers days are cool and comfortable with pleasant afternoon breezes and you can feel the slight chill in the air on winter evenings. The region is also acknowledged for its unique culture, food scene, picturesque setting and natural attractions such as its iconic viewpoint just a stone’s throw from our restaurant as well as the Chamarel Seven-Coloured Earth, the Chamarel Falls and the Black River Gorges National Park.
